Here are some helpful timelines to keep in mind.
- Creating a fully-engineered set of plans to submit to your Building Department takes 4 to 12 weeks, depending on if you are using one of our existing plans, modifying one of our plans or a design of your own.
- If your Planning Department requires a separate design-review approval, this process can take 2 to 6 months minimum (plus the time to engage additional professionals such as surveyors and civil engineers).
- Plan check is currently taking approximately 6 to 8 weeks for most areas.
As spring progresses, these timelines tend to get longer.
