The “Mendocino”
Custom Home in Western Sonoma County,
CA.
This is the owner's third custom panelized package home and he now only builds PMHI packages. He likes the speed of construction because it saves him time and money. Even more, he really appreciates the quality of the materials and construction.
This home was designed to take maximum advantage of the water and mountain views. It features a 27 foot wide sliding glass door assembly that completely opens to a large waterfront deck. This incorporates the outside living space with the living room and kitchen making one very large room.
The home also has 9 foot ceilings and 7½ ft. tall interior doors that create a luxurious feeling that beautifully compliments the Milgard Wood Clad windows.
The flooring in this home looks like weathered wood but is actually ceramic tile.
This is an important feature for a house built near sand that constantly gets tracked
into the house. The ceramic tile also aids in the heating of the home since the home
has a radiant heat floor system with hot water circulating in tubes in gyp-
PMHI also supplied the synthetic Fiberon decking for the deck as well as the dock on the water. This feature, along with the Certainteed cement fiber siding helped the whole home achieve a “Green Built” rating.
